If you have a Hill Walk, Climb, Cycle or Other Activity you would like included then why don't you plan it! Don't be frightened to do so, cos we’ll be delighted to help.  Just ask for assistance.  To include an event on this page please enter the details in the members area or email Irene Cahill with all the necessary details.

If your on our potential members list and need more information then please contact one of the committee via the contacts page.

Many of our members go out informally on a regular basis in small groups/car loads depending on weather conditions etc. with too short a notice to add to this events page. Therefore all members and potential members are advised to attend our club nights as often as they can to find out what's going on and do some networking!

For full contact details and route maps for each event please use the members area.

Please review the club Participation Statement for details on safety and responsibility on club events.

Sunday event has been added or changed in last 30 days 6/9/2020 Day walk Devil's Beef Tub circuit from Moffat
Facebook Event Page
22.5km/521m ascent should take 5-6 hours.

The route - which is the first stage of the Annandale Way but also a fine circular walk in its own right - follows a path besides the river Annan out of Moffat then takes a minor road and farm tracks to a final steep climb onto the moorland hills that wall Annandale to the north. A splendid high level walk crosses these hills to Annandale Head from where there is a descent back down to the minor road and the outward route back to Moffat. A mix of footpaths, tracks and minor roads along riverbanks and across farmland and moorland. There is one short steep climb and some boggy moorland to cross but mostly the walking is on firm ground with gentle ascents and descents. Junctions are clearly signposted, with one exception.

Elaina and I are taking a chance on the weather and have pre-booked ferry tickets for the 7am ferry on Saturday 10th October returning on the 7.20pm. Provisional plan is to go up Glen Sannox to the Saddle then either up Cir Mhor or down Glen Rosa and back to Brodick. However this is all very much weather dependent. If anyone would like to join us you are more than welcome but even as foot passengers you need to book tickets in advance - weekend tickets are sold out several weeks in advance so don't leave too late!
