Air na Creagan Mountaineering Club
Based
in North Ayrshire, Air na Creagan Mountaineering Club was formed in order
to bring together like-minded people with interest in various mountaineering
activities & respect for the ethos of mountaineering in Scotland.
Participation Statement
"Air Na Creagan Mountaineering Club recognises that hillwalking,
climbing, scrambling etc. and other mountainous activities are actions
with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities
should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own
actions and involvement."

It was a breezy and cold day but with good visibility. When we arrived at the lochain we took time to plant a bulb each and had a few minutes silence to have our own thoughts and memories of Linda .........
Leisurely cycle to Salen then it was that never ending hill to Tobermory. It went on and on and up and up till we lost the will to live! The only bonus was the steep downhill into Tobermory!! That night we had a great shindig in the Mishnish.

We soon found the Union Canal towpath and headed west. The path was rather bumpy with loose stones and unfortunately by the time we got to 6 miles outside Linlithgow, Gail's tyre got a puncture. As she had forgotton to bring a spare tube .........
We headed up the track to Glen Sannox then up and onto Suidhe Fearghlas for our first stop with wonderful views across the Clyde to the mainland. The next challenge was up the Witches Step and onto The Castles. This is always an interesting scramble .........
