Important - Before you go walking or climbing you should take some time to check the weather forecast for the area where you intend to visit.

This allows you to plan in advance what clothing and specialised equipment you might need as well as allowing you to plan what route to take.

Weather and route conditions can change rapidly and can make the difference between a pleasant and rewarding experience or tragedy. You should be prepared to turn back if weather conditions deteriorate. Severe winter-like storms on the mountain are not uncommon during the summer in Scotland.
