These two pictures are part of a new series of paintings I am currently working on.  They are based on photos I've taken while in the Highlands and try to capture a little of what I see when up in the hills with a little of what the camera sees.

The pictures are quite large and painted on board in traditional oil paint.

I've now completed six such paintings and you are welcome to visit the studio to see them.  It would certainly be interesting to hear people's thoughts, even the bad ones!

If you are planning on calling down it's worth giving me a ring just to check I'll be in the studio.  I tend to do quite a lot of research for these paintings and this takes me onto the hill on a regular basis.  It's a tough job be somebody's got to do it!
