Report on The Brack
24 May 2012

Todays walkers: Robin and Michael.

We set off from the car park beside the Ardgarten visitor centre. The weather was beautiful, clear blue skies. Most unusual for a Craggy walk!

We followed the land rover track until a sign directed us up through the forest. The path through the forest is very narrow and steep in places but we soon gained height and emerged from the gloomy forest into the bright warm sunshine. We continued following the steep path beside the burn until the flat shoulder was reached. There is a very fine Lochan on this shoulder and we stayed there for a while to admire the views all around..

We followed the path to the right and ascended towards the summit. The trig point appeared suddenly and before we knew it we were at the top.

Very pleasant to sit in the sunshine and admire the views of Loch Long. The view of the Cobbler looked strange from this direction.

We decided to complete the walk by descending towards Ben Donich and eventually making our way back through the forest and back to the car via the land rover track
Great pleasure was taken in ?dookin? our hot tired feet in the river. Bliss!!
